This Paper Knife or Letter Opener is part of the Art Moderne Desk Set produced by Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces Inc. in the early 1920s; today the Desk Set is more commonly referred to by Tiffany collectors as the “Art Deco” Desk Set.
This example, in a gilt bronze patina, features a handle with decoration of inset enamel in variegated shades of green with hints of yellows, which complement the rich patina of the bronze.
