Though diminutive in scale, this rare Cabinet Vase is nonetheless an exceptional example of the work of Art Nouveau master ceramicist Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat.
A body of classical form with two small handles is accented by the irregular texture of the stoneware in addition to the variegated color and texture of the glaze which became known as Rouge Dalpayrat; a rich oxblood glaze in tones of deep burgundy and blue.
