This early Tiffany Favrile Glass miniature cabinet vase is formed by a base of deeply saturated inky blue glass with allover surface iridescence characterized by purple and teal tones.
From the foot, a decorative motif of silvery "zipper" stripes rises up the rounded lower portion of the bottle form vase before gently stretching and spiraling up the thin cylindrical neck, which flares out slightly at both the base and the rim.
This rare example of Tiffany Favrile Glass dating from the 1890s is inscribed on the underside with signature and date code.
