This gilt bronze box is part of the Etched Metal and Glass Grapevine Desk Set produced by Tiffany Studios around 1906.
The Grapevine Desk Set is one of two Desk Sets produced by Tiffany Studios which predominantly incorporated flat panels of Tiffany Favrile Glass into the design.
In this example, an openwork design depicting grape clusters and vines in gilt patina has been mounted over variegated amber Tiffany Glass.
