This Picture Frame was produced by Tiffany Studios in the early 1900s to coordinate with the "Grapevine” Desk Set, one of two variations in the company’s popular “Etched Metal and Glass” series.
This frame features openwork metal filigree in the original bright gold patina depicting grape clusters, large leaves and coiling vines which has been mounted above a background of particularly fine variegated and heavily mottled amber Tiffany Glass, accented with beaded borders and resting on an easel back.
This rare example of original Tiffany Studios metalwork is signed on the back with firm's mark and model number.
