This monumental Favrile Pottery Vase was likely originally designed for use as a lamp base for early Tiffany Lamps.
The cylindrical vase, featuring narrow convex vertical ribs, bulges out slightly at the center.
This example was intended for sole use as a vase as it was not drilled.
The underside of this piece is incised with Louis Comfort Tiffany’s monogram as well as an inscription noting the model number.
