The body of this early Tiffany Favrile Glass Vase features a series of delicate vertical ribs which rise from the foot to the folded rim, forming a subtle faceted effect. These "ribs" give the vase the appearance of decorative vertical pinstriping, as the slightly thicker ribs are more opaque than the creamy opalescent glass which forms the translucent body of the vessel.
The surface of the vase is decorated with two horizontal bands of pulled and hooked motifs in amber glass with iridescence in vibrant purple and magenta tones, while the body of the vase exhibits iridescence in a softer silvery-blue tone.
This rare early piece of original Tiffany Glass is inscribed on the underside with signature and date code, and retains its original Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company paper label.
